Caravan Steps

If steps are used, they must comply with the requirements of the Building Code of Australia.

 

Loose wooden boxes, plastic crates or plastic steps at ground level and not secured are unacceptable.

Rises and goings in any sets of stairs giving access to all exhibits shall be within the range:

Rises         Minimum 115mm to maximum 190mm

Goings      Minimum 250mm to maximum 355mm

 

In any one set of stairs a variance between the measurements of each step shall not be more than plus or minus 5mm.

 

The examples below are the steps recommended for use at CCIA Shows/expo’s.

 

It is recommended that non-slip tape is placed on all caravan steps.
