Vehicle Compliance

All RV Exhibitors will have to complete the Marketing & Compliance Form as all the brand information will be used for the show guide. If there are any changes after the deadline, please contact Joe Taylor.

All Recreational Vehicles being displayed at the Expo must comply with all relevant Australian Design Rules (ADRs) and Australian Standards.

All Exhibitors must indicate that the product displayed at the Expo complies with and are not limited to:

  • Gas Installations standards
  • Electrical Installation and Testing standards
  • All relevant ADRs including those relating to access doors, seat belts and compliance
  • Gas Plates. All RV’s on display for sale must have a gas plate affixed. Please click here for further information.
  • Secondary Stage of Manufacturer (SSM) compliance as administered by the Federal Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government
  • Vehicle Safety Standards (VSS)

Manufacturers of Motorhomes, Campervans and 5th Wheelers who have not yet received their SSM compliance certification from the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government formerly known as DOTARS, must provide details of the lodgement of an application for such compliance with the Department of Infrastructure including the application number and date of application.

Should the date of application for SSM exceed 12 months from the date that the Expo commences those vehicles will not be permitted to be displayed at the expo. RVs that are awaiting SSM Compliance approval will be required to prominently display a sign during the entirety of the expo stating the following: ‘THIS VEHICLE IS AWAITING SECONDARY STAGE COMPLIANCE APPROVAL BEFORE AVAILABLE FOR SALE (Orders Taken)’. These signs will be supplied by the Organisers.

No Vehicle will be removed from an Exhibitor’s stand during the period of the expo, other than during the stipulated bump-in or bump-out times, without prior approval and written permission from show management.

If any vehicle is found to be non-compliant, the exhibitor will be asked to remove it as soon as practical, at the discretion of the Organisers. In the time from when the noncompliance is discovered to when the vehicle is removed off-site, the exhibitor will be required to display signage on their vehicle advising it is not compliant and not for sale. This signage will be provided and placed on the vehicles by CCIA Staff.

All NSW Dealers must provide their Motor Dealer’s Licence Number on the compliance form, or they will not be permitted to exhibit at the Expo.

As per the Motor Dealers & Repairers Act 2013, a name/business name, licence number and telephone number of the business must also be displayed on printed collateral distributed at the show.

All NSW Dealers must provide their Dealer’s Licence Number and dealer information on the Compliance Form. If the Compliance form has not been submitted prior to the expo beginning, you will not be able to bump in until the form has been submitted.
